Italian FM inaugurates exhibition of Pakistani Calligraphy in Rome




ROME: Pakistani Art Society in Italy organised an exhibition ‘Calligraphy and Calligraphic Art of Pakistan: Contemporary Styles and Tendencies’ at Italian National Museum of Oriental Arts in Rome.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Saturday.

Paolo Gentiloni, Minister of Foreign Affairs at the National Museum of Oriental Art 'Giuseppe Tucci'  during the exhibition "Calligraphy and calligraphic art of Pakistan. Styles and contemporary trends" organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan. The exhibition presents some valuable works of the most famous contemporary Pakistani calligraphers. The National Museum of Oriental Art 'Giuseppe Tucci', presented the exhibition "calligraphy and calligraphic art of Pakistan. Styles and contemporary trends" organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan. The exhibition presents some valuable works of the most famous contemporary Pakistani calligraphers. May 5, 2016 in Rome, Italy.

On the occasion, Mr. Gentiloni said Pakistan and Italy enjoy the close relationship with a long-standing cooperation in the field of culture.

“Cultural cooperation is an important facet for promoting people to people contacts and strengthening bilateral ties, said the minister.

Pakistan Ambassador to Italy Nadeem Riyaz said enhancing cultural exchanges would positively contribute towards strengthening existing relations between Pakistan and Italy.
