MANHATTAN: US President Joe Biden, while speaking at the UNGA on Tuesday (24th September, 2024), has said that creation of a peaceful Palestinian state was the only path to permanent peace in the region.

Reiterating his support for a two-nation solution Biden said that a full-scale war was not in anyone’s interest. He noted that the innocent civilians were suffering as hell in the blockaded Palestine enclave.

Cynics go haywire wondering how could Joe Biden speak about the suffering of Palestinian men, women and children when US continues to supply weapons to Israel enabling it to continue strikes?

Calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Biden proposed a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas. Pointing towards risks of a full-scale war he said that the situation could be resolved by means of diplomatic efforts.
