Journalists Labor Action Committee fears more sackings of Media Workers!

KARACHI: The Journalists Labor Action Committee has expressed serious concern over the reports that a number of Media Houses were planning to sack employees at a large scale.

Pointing out that various newspapers and TV channels had not paid salaries to employees for several months, warned the Media Houses that if salaries were not paid and more workers were sacked in the name of down or right-sizing Joint Action Committee would launch country-wide protests.

Media houses will be surrounded and judicial proceedings will be launched and the movement launched this time will continue till all their rights are achieved.

Joint Action Committee had urged the Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, KP and the federal governments to take notice of the possible mass sackings.
