ISLAMABAD: The three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed referred construction of Kalabagh Dam case to the Chief Justice for formation of new bench as Justice Umar Ata Bandial member of the bench recused himself from the bench.

Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that he was part of the bench which heard and gave verdict on the same matter in Lahore High Court.

During proceedings of the case, petitioner Barrister Zafar Ullah Khan appeared before the Bench and stated that the court dismissed petition without hearing his arguments.

He pleaded the court to re-fix the matter.

The court accepted his plea and restored his application regarding construction of Kalabagh Dam and referred the matter to the Chief Justice for formation of new bench.
