Karachi: 2-year-old child killed as incompetent Police fire at muggers!

KARACHI: Apparently due to lack of training police personnel resorted yet again to engage muggers at Karachi University Road here tonight, resulting into death of a two-year-old child.

DIG East Amir Farooqi talking to NPTV told that Police officials manning a picket were told by a mugging victim about bolting suspects. Despite the clear instructions not to challenge criminals in open public places, they resorted to fire at the fleeing muggers.

The child, traveling in a rickshaw with elders, fell victim to the Police folly. Deceased child’s father said that he had seen Policemen firing. As a ritual, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has ordered a probe into the incident while four officials had been taken into custody.
