KARACHI: SSP East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar today informed the Media that district East police had arrested 1052 accused involved in different cases during the last 3 months. 
Sharing data he told that three target killers, three murderers, two extortionists, 322 involved in cases of illegal arms possession, 172 in narcotics cases, 38 gamblers, 39 proclaimed offenders, 431 absconders, and 42 other criminals were arrested. 
According to the list provided by SSP 2 Kalashnikovs, 2 rifles, 323 pistols, 841 rounds, 2 grenades, a revolver, 113763 grams of charas, 1016 grams heroin and 51 liquor bottles were recovered.
The SSP further revealed that during the months of Nov., Dec., and January 23 encounters took place. As a result, 16 criminals were arrested.
