KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) today staged a walkout from the Sindh Assembly over increasing knife attacks in Karachi.
During the assembly session, the lawmakers raised their voices against the failure of the authorities to arrest the culprits behind the rampant cases of knife attacks in the metropolis and demanded exemplary punishment against him.
The residents of Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal areas – mostly women – along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and MQM-P workers also staged a protest at Jauhar Chowrangi on Thursday.
They voiced strong determination against serial attacker who subjected several women to stabbing in last 11 days in Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had announced a cash reward of Rs 500,000 for anyone who informs about the serial slasher.
