Karachi Mayor, PSP Chief now doing politics over garbage: CM Sindh

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chief Mustafa Kamal were doing politics over the garbage of metropolitan.

“They [Akhtar, Kamal] are acting like child. They are fighting over garbage of Karachi, isn’t that foolishness?” the CM said while taking jibe at both the leaders.

CM Sindh also expressed his concerns over the situation of the metropolis and said that lifting garbage was not difficult if the authorities took it seriously.

Shah said the deputy commissioners of the city have also been included in the matter for its resolution. He added that the provincial government has asked Karachi Metropolitan Corporation for a fumigation drive in the city.

On Tuesday, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar removed Mustafa Kamal as project director for garbage disposal, a day after levying him with the responsibility of cleaning up the metropolis in 90 days.
