Kashmir Issue: Sino-Pak Generals discuss state-of-affairs!

RAWALPINDI: Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission General Xu Qiliang along with a high-level delegation called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ here on Monday. 

After the delegation-level talk General Xu Qiliang also held a one-on-one meeting with Army Chief. During the rendezvous they also pondered over the current state of affairs in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Other matters of mutual interest, regional security, avenues to enhance bilateral defense collaboration were also part of the agenda.

While Pak COAS appreciated China’s understanding and support on all important issues, particularly Kashmir, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission affirmed that China greatly valued its time tested relations with Pakistan and its Army and was looking forward to further intensify the terms.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the two sides for enhancement of defense cooperation and Pak Army’s capacity building.

Earlier, on arrival at the GHQ the Vice Chairman Central Military Commission was presented a guard of honor. He also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
