KARACHI: A delegation of Karachi Cable Welfare Association (KCWA) called on Commissioner of the Metropolis Sohail Rajput at his office here on Friday (16th of Oct).
Members of the delegation informed the Commissioner about the problems being faced by the people associated with the Cable Service. They demanded that KCWA should be kept informed apropos putting the fiber-optic underground in order to enhance the beauty of the city.
Commissioner of the Port City assured that the cable operators’ predicament would be resolved on priority basis. He said that the project of Metropolis’ beautification would be carried out alongwith the participation of KCWA.
Those present at the rendezvous included Chairman KCWA’s President Shaikh Muhammad Hussain, Sr. Vice Chairman Amir Ali Chandio, President Irfan Khaitani, Vice President Nadir Shahani, General Secretary Nabil Khan, Joint Secretary Jawaid Hussain, Deputy General Secretary Gulfam Haider Hashimi, and Finance Secretary Shahwaiz Khan.
G. M. Jamali, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) assisted the Cable Operators on the occasion.
