Lahore beat SA School in National veterans cricket cup

LAHORE: Lahore Green scored a thumping 113 runs victory over SA School in the 20th National Seniors Cricket Cup here today at Race Course Park Cricket Ground.

Lahore Green batted first reached 258/6 in 30 overs with major contributions coming from Muhammad Zubair Idrees 86, Muhammad Waheed 74, Arif Rasheed 37 and Muhammad Amir 26. Muhammad Zia was the pick of SA School bowler claiming five wickets for 46 and Haider Ali took one wicket for 46. SA School was dismissed at 145 in 22.1 overs.

Their main scorers were Haider Ali 40, Muhammad Shabbir 22 and Tanzeem Najam 20. From Lahore Green bowling Khurram Afzal snapped up four wickets for paltry 14 runs and Muhammad Waheed got two wickets for 23.  Muhammad Waheed was declared man of the match. Ejaz Ahmad, Saghir Ahmad stood as umpires and Azhar Hussain was the scorer.
