GWADAR: Following a 3-hour-long gun-battle, Police and LEAs personnel have gunned down all the 8 (some officials say 7) attackers, belonging to the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)‘s guerrilla cell called Majeed Brigade (formed in 2011 with confirmed Afghan connection).

The attackers forcibly entered Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex on Wednesday (20th March, 2024) where they were challenged by the Police and personnel of other LEAs, resulting into a fierce gun battle.

Taking to the X (Twitter) CM Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti stated: “The message is loud and clear. Whosoever chooses to use violence will see no mercy from the state.”

According to details eight BLA militants started shooting following a blast inside the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex. Explosions had also been reported during the intense exchange of fire. The area had been cordoned off while additional contingents were called to neutralize the attackers.

GWADAR: Namaz-e-Janaza of the two soldiers Sepoy Bahar Khan (age: 35 years, resident of District DG Khan) and Sepoy Imran Ali (age: 28 years, resident of District Khairpur), who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the gun battle with the terrorists, is being offered here. The dead bodies were later dispatched to their native areas.
