NAUSHKI/PANJGUR: After successfully repulsing separate attacks at FC camps in Naushki and Panjgur areas, LEAs carried out a clearance operation to hunt down terrorists hiding terrorists in the area.
Nine terrorists have been gunned down in Naushki while four more have been killed in Panjgur. The operation, that is still continuing, has so far claimed lives of seven soldiers.
Prime Minister Imran Khan took to the twitter to laud the the bravery of security forces: “We salute our brave security forces who repulsed terrorist attacks against security forces’ camps in Panjgur & Naushki, Balochistan. The nation stands united behind our security forces who continue to give great sacrifices to protect us.”
Meanwhile, CSs, IGPs, provincial governments, heads of intelligence agencies and LEAs have been directed by the Interior Ministry to take extra measures in order to ensure peace and tranquility in their areas.
In its correspondence addressed to the concerned authorities the Interior Ministry maintained: “It is once again requested that the highest level of preparedness and extra vigilance may kindly be ensured by all provincial governments, intelligence and law enforcement agencies to thwart any nefarious designs of anti-state elements.”
It may be recalled that following a number of blasts carried out by militants of banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the Noshki and Panjgur areas of Baluchistan in two separate attacks, a gun-battle commenced on Wednesday (2nd of February, 2022) between the personnel of LEAs and the militants.
According to details bombers attempted to enter FC camps at Noshki and Ghora Chowk of Panjgur: “Both attacks have been successfully repulsed while inflicting heavy casualties to terrorists...
“timely response by troops foiled terrorist attempt. During intense exchange of fire one soldier has been martyred. Terrorists have fled while their casualties are being ascertained,” maintained ISPR.
As the result of LEAs’ prompt response four terrorists have been killed while one officer received bullet injuries. The powerful blasts had shattered the windows of many batiments in main market of Noshki and Ghora Chowk of Panjgur.
