LENSOVISION: Alliance Française de Karachi’s Photography students expose their works at Main Art Gallery

KARACHI: French Cultural Centre here – known as Alliance Française de Karachi (AFK) – has over the decades established itself as an oasis of peace, harmony, art, culture and education in this troubled Metropolis inhabited by some twenty million people.

For over twenty years AFK is offering Internationally Recognized Photography Courses under the supervision of veteran Professor Rahmatullah Khan. This aspect has become a prominent feature of AFK.

Talking exclusively to NewsPakistan.TV Professor Rahmatullah Khan told that there were numerous instances when Photography students were offered jobs during the course of diploma.

Focusing on courses offered he informed that in the course offered as Basics of Photography Fashion, Glamour, Photojournalism, Photo-Editing & Photoshop etc. were taught.

Professional Diploma in Photography engulfed Comradery, Basics of Photography, Figure Work, Glamour & Boudoir (Model & Body Language, Boudoir Studio, Specialist’s Studio, ISO vs. WB, Studio Lighting, Electronic Light, Background & Props, People in the Studio, Still Life in the Studio), Weddings & other Events, Sports, Portraiture, Product Advertising Photography & Workshop, Black-N-White Art Photography , Videography and DSLR Documentary.

Present exposition of the thesis works of the graduating students of the recently concluded Professional Diploma in Photography session shows works of eight students: Fatima Habib, Asim Habib, Danyal Khawar, Hammad Siddiqui, Khuzaima Naqvi, Mansoor Zafar, Raffay Zaidi and Rizwan Quraishi.

These pupils have snapped various aspects of life. Many works have been substantially altered by means of Photoshop (that is course requirement).

The Exhibition will remain open till Saturday 8th of October from 10 AM to 7 PM.
