Local court acquits Uzair Baloch in May 2012 attack case

KARACHI: A local court clear notorious Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch and his brother Zubair Baloch on Saturday after police failed to provide proof of their involvement in a case pertaining to the attack on police in May 2012.

Police had registered a case against Uzair and his brother for attacking police during a Lyari operation that took place in May 2012.

The court ordered that if the two suspects were not arrested in connection with any other case then they should be released.

Uzair Baloch was arrested by Rangers from the outskirts of Karachi on January 30, 2016.
