Lt. Gen. (R) Amjad Shoaib remanded in police custody for 3 days

ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah here on Monday (27th of Feb, 2023) has sent Lt.Gen. (R) Amjad Shoaib on three-day physical remand.

Amjad Shoaib was arrested following registration of a FIR (at Ramna PS by Magistrate Owais Khan on Sunday 26th of Feb 2023) accusing him of inciting public against state institutions [section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups, etc) and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of the Pakistan Penal Code].

Complainant Owais Khan has stated that Amjad Shoaib had passed statements on Saturday (25 Feb 2023) during a TV Show inciting govt officials and opposition from performing their duties.
