March 23 decisive moment in Pakistan’s history: Sanjrani

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said March 23, proved to be a decisive moment in the history as our forefathers under the able leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah decided to shape their own destiny in the form of a separate homeland where each and every one would be free and enjoy equal rights under the law and constitution.

He said this in a message to the nation on the occasion of March 23.

While felicitating all Pakistanis living in Pakistan and overseas, he observed that current times were meaningful in understanding the significance of the day.

“Challenges are enormous and the national integration is facing challenges at the hands of terrorism, extremism, poverty, underdevelopment and a sluggish economy but our zeal and determination is undeterred,” Sadiq Sanjrani said.

He said Pakistan was a peace loving country and “we want a peaceful resolution to all the problems, however, anyone challenging our sovereignty and territorial integrity would be dealt with an iron fist”.

Sanjrani observed that the armed forces of Pakistan had not just defended the motherland and stayed true to their commitment in safeguarding the territorial boundaries of the country but have also invigorated the whole nation with an ever increasing wave of patriotism.
