Mashal Khan murder: ATC to begin trial of 57 suspects tomorrow

PESHAWAR: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Haripur has indicted 57 people arrested for involvement in the murder of Mashal Khan, the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) student who was lynched in April over blasphemy allegations.

ATC judge Fazl-e-Subhan refused to accept bail applications of 17 of the accused and indicted 57 of accused persons. The trial is set to begin on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Mashal was shot dead and his body desecrated in broad daylight by his fellow students on campus on April 13 after being accused of blasphemy.
