Measures to avoid electrocution!

PESHAWAR: Chief Executive PESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan said here today it was important to adopt precautionary measures to avoid electrocution.

In a statement issued here from Wapda House, he directed technical staff to adopt precautionary measures for avoiding electrocution adding he also directed line staff should avoid start of work without PTW (Permit to work) and assurance of power shutdown..Poles on both the sides must be properly earthen for the safety of technical staff working online or pole adding he said use of safety belt, helmet and rubber gloves essential during work.

PESCO also requested customers to adopt precautionary measures to avoid electric shocks for their own safety in rains so that precious human lives and property could be secured.  These safety measures include to properly “earthen” your electrical appliances and replace or tape all worn out wires and not to touch electrical appliances and cables with wet hands. The public is also requested to be careful and attentive while using Electric Water Pumps and other Electrical appliances.

No compromise on law and order situation in tribal districts

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai has said that no one will be allowed to disturb law and order situation in tribal districts of the province.
Addressing a function in Peshawar on Sunday morning, he said peace has been restored in the tribal area after great sacrifices of security forces and the general public.
Shaukat Yousafzai said the nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army for the security of the motherland.
He said rehabilitation of infrastructure in the tribal districts is the top priority of the government. He said in the upcoming budget Sehat Sahulat Programme will be extended to the entire province.

New polio case reported from Bannu

PESHAWAR: National Institute of Health Thursday confirmed poliovirus presence in one and half-year-old child in Bizan Khel area of district Bannu taking the figure of polio case to 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 20 across the country.
According to the health official, Wahidullah brought his one and half-year-old infant to the hospital where his test was sent to NIH for a laboratory test and found positive.
The uncle of the affected child told that his nephew didn’t vaccination against the crippling disease until date.
The Health official said that during the year 2019 it was the 14th cases reported from KP province while as many as 20 cases were reported from across the country during the first five months of the year.
