KARACHI: Miftah Ismail, who alongwith supporters of his newly-formed Awaam Pakistan Party organised a manifestation outside KE office here on Sunday (28th July, 2024), plans to file a petition against KE.
Former PML-N member, Miftah Ismail while speaking to the demonstrators here, pointed towards election slogans apropos provision of free units to poor consumers. He noted that government had increased its perks instead of being frugal.
Pointing out that since 2015 power tariffs have been augmented 350 percent, Miftah Ismail condemned the imposition of 24 percent taxes on household and 37% on commercial consumers. He said he would go to court against KE for over-burdening the consumers.
