S. WAZIRISTAN: Two militants were neutralised by security forces when they attacked the Army-run Cadet College Wana here on Monday (10th Nov, 2025), while three are holed up in the administration block.

The militants, failing to enter the premises, rammed an explosives-laden vehicle against the main gate of the college. Three of them managed to enter the campus but they were cornered in the administration block. There were 650 people, including 525 cadets, inside the college at the time of attack.

115 individuals have been rescued. Whereas, attempts are being made to neutralize the three militants holed-up in a limited space. According to sources, the suicide blast carried out by the militants was so colossal that it badly damaged 12 houses and injured 16 civilians.

It seems that the militants wanted to repeat the act of terrorism carried out a decade ago on 16th December 2014 at Army Public School.
