Missing Pak Army Heli’s wreckage found

RAWALPINDI: ISPR took to the Twitter to inform that “the wreckage of unfortunate helicopter which was on flood relief operations found in Musa Goth, Windar, Lasbela. All 6 officers & soldiers including Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali embraced shahadat. اِنّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ Accident occurred due to bad weather as per initial investigations.”

Helicopter, that crashed near Sassi Pannu located in Lasbela’s mountainous region, took off from Uthal (Balochistan) at 5:10PM on Monday (1st of August, 2022). It was scheduled to land in Karachi at 6.05PM. Heli lost communication with control tower and its wreckage was found hours after its crash.

Lt. Gen Sarfraz AliCorps Commander Lt. Gen. Sarfraz Ali (former DG MI) who also served as defense attaché at Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission in USA, was interviewed by ex-PM for the post of DG ISI.
