ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information & Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said Indian PM Narendra Modi was following Hindutva & extremist policies.
She was addressing a rally organised by Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) to express solidarity with people of occupied Kashmir in front of Parliament House here today while seeing it off for Muzaffarabad.
Firdous Awan, while noting that India had converted Occupied Territory into a jail and innocent people of Kashmir had been suffering hardships of curfew for last eighteen days, said that UN and other international human rights organizations should take notice of the atrocities as India was bent upon committing genocide in occupied Kashmir.”
She held that Kashmir Issue was a conflict of two ideologies and not just a conflict between two countries. Firdous Ashiq Awan urged business community to use their linkages and connections abroad to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people and expose the true face of India. She said different forums including parliament were being used to raise awareness about the tyranny and persecution unleashed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
Firdous Awan stated that with the support of all the chambers of commerce and industries the PTI govt. would figure out a way to empower Kashmiri women economically: “Business community will support the victims and civilians of Indian aggression on LoC to strengthen their local industry,” she hoped.
Special Assistant has further informed that the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry had also decided to establish Kashmir Economic Cell to economically empower the Kashmiri women.
Claiming that Pakistan was effectively highlighting the Kashmir issue at international level and PM was monitoring the state of affairs, she said all legal and diplomatic forums had been activated in the country to forcefully present the case.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur pointed out that occupied Kashmir has been turned into a jail for the last twenty days. He said Pakistan would contest the case of Kashmiris in the world and “Kashmiris will soon get freedom from the Indian occupation.”
Kashmiri leader Mishal Malik said the Indian government was committing the worst violence against Kashmiri leaders. She thanked the journalist community for expressing solidarity with Kashmiris.
Partap Singh said Sikhs will be on the forefront in fight for Kashmiris against the oppressed Indian forces. He appealed United Nations and the United States to take notice of the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
Bishop Nadeem Kamran maintained that holding of the rally itself manifested that all the segments of the society in Pakistan were with Kashmiris: “Christian community stands with Kashmiris, and they are ready to render any sacrifice for them.”
AJK President Sardar Masood Khan said India had attempted to convert the Muslim majority in occupied Kashmir into a minority, which will be resisted.
Relevant: Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan today said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was raising voice of Kashmiri people at every available forum.
She held that gross violations committed by Indian troops in the Occupied valley of Jammu and Kashmir were a serious matter of concern for the human loving nations.
The Special Assistant to PM said that Pakistan would not hold dialogue with arch rival India due to massive human right violations and stubborn attitude of Indian rulers.
She said that Kashmir issue had become an international issue, adding that Pakistan would not make any parleys with India in the current scenario posed by its ruler.
Modi’s government, she said was committing genocide in the Occupied valley of Jammu and Kashmir.
Criticizing the behavior of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi like Hitler, she said that Indian tall claims of secular state had badly exposed before the world community.
During the election campaign, Narendra Modi also presented India as a democratic state but involvement in killing of innocent Kashmiri people and repealing the status on Kashmir had exposed the abhorrent and ugly face of India so called secular state.
