OBITUARY OF MUHAMMAD ALI: GREATEST SPORTSMAN ON THE PLANET! CONVERT TO ISLAM & PERSONIFICATION OF BLACK PRIDE!
BY: M. M. ALAM
The most loved sportsman in history, three time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Muhammad Ali has died. The greatest athlete ever, who once said “I am so mean, I make medicine sick”, was finally knocked-out in the final bout of his life by a respiratory ailment at the age of 74. He has also suffered from Parkinson’s disease for more than three decades.
On Thursday June 2, Ali was hospitalized with a respiratory problem and was taken to ICU next day. He died today (June 4, 2016) but the flame of legacy burns on!
* Ali was born as Cassius Clay in Louisville in 1942.
* He converted to the Nation of Islam (and appalled the white America).
* Changed his name from Cassius Clay to Cassius X and then to Muhammad Ali.

* Muhammad Ali was stripped of his titles in 1967 and lost three and a half year (that could have been the best as a fighter).
* His footwork was called an extension of the balletic arts.
* At the age of 18 Ali won Olympic light-heavyweight gold at the Rome Olympics
* In 1964 he won the heavyweight title by beating Sonny Liston.
* In 1978 he won the title for a third time and retired from boxing in 1981 with 56 wins (37 by knockout), five losses.
* Though he was suffering from Parkinson disease Ali was well enough to light the torch to start the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
* He also took part in the opening ceremony of the London
* Olympics in 2012 (in a wheelchair).
* He has been married four times and has nine children.
