LONDON: MP Barrister Imran Hussain and Shadow Justice Minister of England speaking about Kashmir held:
“As Kashmiris all over the world mark over a year since the revocation of Articles 370 and 35a by the Indian Government that stripped Indian Occupied Kashmir of what little autonomy they had, and the imposition of a draconian curfew and blockade, we remember all those who have been brutally beaten, arbitrarily arrested and illegally killed by Indian Security Forces in the region.
“The struggle for a free and fair plebiscite for the sons and daughters of Kashmir, and the end to the horrific human rights abuses taking place cannot last another 70 years, so today I call on the UK Government, the United Nations and the rest of the international community to ignore Kashmir no longer, come together in solidarity, and uphold UN Resolutions passed all those years ago”.
