LONDON: The Scotland Yard on Thursday requested Pakistani authorities to provide them with evidence of Muttahida Qoumi Movement’s involvement in allegedly extorting money.
According to details, the Scotland Yard documents claim that MQM owns 70 bank accounts in London.
“Pakistani political party owns 70 bank accounts in London out of which 26 belong to Mr. Altaf Hussain (MQM Chief),” said a statement issued by the Scotland Yard.
The Scotland Yard also stated that it requires details regarding the Karachi’s Baldia factory fire incident and a copy of the investigation report.
Scotland Yard documents also revealed that MQM had purchased various properties in Britain and paid in cash for them.
