KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s senior leader Farooq Sattar is all set to hold a press conference at Karachi Press Club shortly.

Sattar, who was detained and later released by rangers alongwith Khawaja Izahrul Hasan after MQM workers carried out protests and broke into ARY news channel’s office, is likely to address media persons today (Tuesday) at KPC.

MQM leader, before leaving for KPC, talked to reporters outside his house and said that he will highlight the agenda of the party after yesterday’s violent acts in the metropolis.

“We will take the MQM’s mission forward and continue to empower citizens,” he said. “I will hold the press conference I was unable to hold yesterday today.”

One person was killed and several others injured as police clashed with the angry mob yesterday after MQM workers carried out protests in the city. MQM leader Dr Amir Liaquat was also taken into custody from his office on I.I. Chundrigar Road.
