Musharraf Attack Case: Three suspects acquitted by SC!

MMA

Supreme Court (SC) uttering displeasure over negligence of prosecution that presented a weak case, ordered release of three suspects (Intikhab Abbasi, Mohammad Kabir and Zafar Ali).

The three – who allegedly had links with the banned outfit TTP – were nabbed in connection with the 2003 assassination attempt on General (R) Pervez Musharraf.

It is pertinent to mention here that a trial court had earlier sentenced them to death. Later, a High Court had turned the death sentence to life imprisonment.
