Muslim pupils assaulted for not chanting Jai Mata Kee

MEHWISH

NEW DELHI: When a group of Hindu fanatics failed to force three Muslim pupils chant Jai Mata Kee, they resorted to torture them and broke an arm of one here in Begumpur area.

Narrating their ordeal one of the pupils Muhammad Dilkash said when they had gone to a nearby park, few men approached and slapped one of them asking him to chant Jai Mata Kee.

On their refusal the Hindu extremists threatened to kill them. Students’ defiance further infuriated the fanatics who beat them black and blue.

Police seems to be downplaying the incident by claiming that there was a contradiction amongst the three students’ statements.
