KARACHI: G. M. Jamali, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), and Secretary General Rana Muhammad Azeem have urged the authorities to provide protection to Abdul Razzaq Memon (associated with Geo News, Matiari, Pakistan) whose life is in danger.

According to details Abdul Razzak Memon’s car is being followed, he was assaulted a couple of days ago by two miscreants and has been receiving death threats from some powerful people of New Saeedabad.

Abdul Razzak Memon, stating that he could be attacked any time, accused Matiari Police of supporting the influential. He said in case of an untoward incident Ghulam Ali Shah Jehangir would be responsible who attacked him when he was getting a house built for his children.

Informing that he had bought the plot from a trader named Dileep Kumar, he stated that the influential people were attempting to grab his land after forcing the construction workers to leave the site.

Memon told that criminals who happen to be the accomplices of Ghulam Ali Shah Jahangir Shah were roaming around his plot. Getting his story run on Geo TV further infuriated them.
