KARACHI: KMC Chief Fire Officer, while talking to journalists at a Presser held here Saturday (5th April, 2025), rejected the possibility of the presence of an enormous gas reservoir at Korangi Crossing: “Looking at the nature of the fire, it seems that there is no large underground gas reserve.”
According to details the pocket of methane or bio-gas commenced burning due to the drilling of an eleven hundred feet deep well. KMC Chief Fire Officer held that such incendie burn for a month before disappearing: “The fire can be extinguished in an hour, but it can spread the gas which could be dangerous for the residents in nearby areas.”
