N. WAZIRISTAN: While taking part in an Intelligence-Based-Operation (IBO) three soldiers (Naib Subedar Nazir Ahmed Chandio, Sepoy Fakhar, and Sepoy Amir) lost their lives here.
During the operation, four militants who were involved in the 12th Sept. attack on security forces were gunned down. Operational level terrorist Aftab Parakay was among the killed who were fully armed and gave tough resistance.
It is pertinent to mention here that the same miscreants were involved in an ambush on security forces convoy last December too which resulted in the death of Lieutenant Moeen.
