NAB arrests PPP leader Khursheed Shah in assets beyond means case

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) stalwart Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah today in the assets beyond means case.

Shah was arrested from his residence in Bani Gala.

According to an official of NAB Karachi, the PPP leader was arrested following a joint action by the NAB’s Rawalpindi and Sukkur teams.

The official said that an investigation will be initiated against Shah in the assets beyond means case.

Shah is alleged to have made properties worth billions of rupees through corruption in last few years of Sindh government.

The corruption watchdog has also released the details of assets and bank accounts owned by the PPP leader.

Shah will be presented in the accountability court Sukkur tomorrow where NAB will request for his remand.

It is pertinent to mention here that NAB has been investigating cases against Shah since August 7. Arrest warrants were issued after proper inquiry against him where he was allegedly found involved in corruption.
