NAB asks media not to run speculative news

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Monday asked media to avoid broadcasting/ publishing speculative news items/reports regarding NAB cases until confirming from its spokesman.
According to a press release, NAB warned that the bureau reserves the right of taking legal action against publishing/ broadcasting of baseless, contrary to the facts and speculative news items on the ongoing complaint verification, investigations and inquiries being conducted by the NAB. Any news item attributed/related to NAB should be confirmed from the spokesman of NAB before airing or publishing.
Meanwhile, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Javed Iqbal has directed all director generals of the Bureau to call accused related to the under investigation at the stipulated time and ensure protecting and respecting their self-esteem. The chairman directed the DGs to conduct investigations by collecting relevant evidence and unnecessary delay in this regard would not be tolerated. The relevant DG would be held responsible for any delay in investigations.
