NAB to eliminate corruption ‘using all resources’: Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) believes in eliminating corruption with iron hands using all its resources, said Chairman of the accountability bureau Qamar Zaman Chaudhary.

Chairing a meeting to review the performance made by the operations division at the NAB Headquarters here on Thursday, Chaudhry said that corruption is the mother of all evils and reiterated NAB’s commitment to punish those involved in corruption.

He claimed that the present management had taken multiple steps to revamp the organsation.

“The measures taken by the present management include the introduction of combined investigation team (CIT), streamlining of SOPs, clearly defined job descriptions, and rationalisation of workload,” he maintained.

“In addition, the introduction of quantified grading system and internal accountability mechanism have had a great impact on the output of each official associated with the NAB, added the NAB chief.
