KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) once again raided the residence of former Director-General of parks Liaquat Qaimkhani today.
According to a NAB handout, the raid was conducted jointly by the Rawalpindi and Karachi teams.
“The raid follows the initial interrogation from Qaimkhani. During raid, the NAB teams searched various rooms of the house and took several important documents in their custody,” read the handout.
NAB team failed to open the second locker in the house. When asked, Qaimkhani held that the locker has he combination codes that match his brother’s fingerprints. It could only be opened with the help of his brother.
It is pertinent to mention here that the former DG parks of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is on a 14-day remand in NAB’s custody in relation with fake bank accounts case.
He was taken into custody during a raid at his residence in Karachi’s PECHS Society by a NAB team on charges of awarding fake contracts in his capacity as DG Parks.
