Television channels and Radio stations are airing special programmes to highlight different aspects of the Kashmir issue particularly Indian brutalities against innocent Kashmiris fighting for their freedom.

Besides portraying brutalities of the Indian forces through photo exhibitions, special functions are planned at educational institutions to apprise the new generation of the Kashmir issue and heroic struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

These events will also help seek a peaceful solution to the Kashmir problem and remind the international community and the United Nations of their promises made to Kashmiris decades back for holding a plebiscite and respecting aspirations of Kashmiri people.

The day dawned with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir, victory of the freedom struggle and expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people, followed by mass rallies, symposia, walks-for-peace, conventions, meetings and speech declamations.
