ISLAMABAD: Speaking to journalists at a joint Presser held here today (4th of July, 2021) National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf said that the security agencies’ probe apropos the explosion carried out on 23rd of June near the Johar Town house of Hafiz Saeed revealed that Indian State was involved in the car-bomb blast.
PM Imran Khan, taking to the Twitter, stated: “I instructed my team to brief nation on findings of Johar Town, Lahore blast investigation today. I appreciate the diligence & speed of Punjab Police’s Counter Terrorism Dept in unearthing the evidence & commend the excellent coordination of all our civil & mly Intel agencies. This coordination led to identifying the terrorists & their international linkages. Again, planning & financing of this heinous terror attack has links to Indian sponsorship of terrorism against Pak. Global community must mobilize int institutions against this rogue behavior”.
Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain and Punjab IGP Inam Ghani also spoke on the occasion. According to Dr. Moeed Yusuf, by means of electronic forensic the concerned agencies managed to figure out the identity of the main handlers of this incident. He said that Pakistani authorities know that a RAW agent was the mastermind who orchestrated the whole crime.
Punjab IGP Inam Ghani briefed the Media about the investigations’ outcome. He said that the security agencies did not reckon it appropriate to disclose names of certain terrorists at this point of time as the probe was still underway. He told that a detailed forensic of the cellular phones and other gadgets had been conducted that had clearly pointed towards connection with Indian state sponsored terrorism against Pakistan”.
Dr. Moeed Yusuf, informing that Pakistani agencies had identified both their pseudo as well as real identities and domiciles, stated that the Johar Town incident was not an isolated case, India had been carrying out such State-sponsored terrorism attacks against Pakistan. Security Advisor further told that there had been thousands of coordinated cyber attacks on Pakistan’s investigation infrastructure after the Johar Town blast which was an example of global cyber warfare highlighted at the various occasions.
According to the Security Advisor: “Due to prolonged conflict during War on Terror, our security institutions have developed a strong cyber warfare infrastructure that helped thwart these attacks successfully. No doubt that Johar Town and cyber attacks are interlinked and state supported by India.” Dr. Moeed Yusuf stated that a detailed dossier had been presented in the month of November, 2020 harboring very minute details about terror financing, phone calls indicating network linkages and India-controlled terrorism Mafia.
