LONDON: A snap showing severely ailing Nawaz Sharif taking tea at a restaurant here will make it difficult for him to get an extension from court enabling him to stay in London for treatment.Federal Minister of Science Fawad Chaudhry (who uploaded the leaked photo on twitter, that went viral on Social Media reportedly showing Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Hasan Nawaz, Salman Shahbaz and Ishaq Dar at a London restaurant) quipped in Urdu: “In London’s intensive care unit, the treatment against plundering is underway and all patients present are feeling better.”
Sources privy to Newspakistan.tv had insinuated that the snap was also discussed at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that after seeing the snap she called Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan: “On the one hand, you say he is in a very critical condition then tell us, is it a part of it that you are socializing? Is it a part of the treatment?”
Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that reports submitted by the Nawaz Sharif’s team were insufficient:
It is pertinent to mention here that on 23rd of December, 2019 deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif had sought an extension in his stay abroad on the expiry of the four-week period granted by LHC.
To ponder over his request government of Punjab formed a four-member committee in order to decide on it and on Friday the provincial government asked for medical reports.
She further informed that Nawaz’s physician in London, David R. Lawrence, had sent a letter which was very similar to the summary earlier issued.
She further commented on Maryam Nawaz’s application (regarding going to London to take care of her father) asked where would she take care of him, at a restaurant?
