ISLAMABAD: SC Bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa has sent the (former PML-N) activist Nehal Hashmi advocate behind bars for contempt of court here today.
Hashmi who will remain incarcerated in Central Jail Rawalpindi for a month, will also pay a fine of Rs. 50,000/- The court has also barred him from holding any public office for next five years.
Readers may recall that while a JIT – that had been mandated by SC – was in the process of investigating Sharif clan’s dealings disclosed in Panama Leaks last May, the convict warned the investigators that PML-N would make constrict the Pakistani soil for their children and family: “And this nation will also constrict the land for you.”
