Nepra increases power tariff by Rs. 1.53/unit

ISLAMABAD: Nepra, citing monthly fuel charges adjustment has augmented the power tariff by Rs. 1.53 per unit.

The power distribution companies will add the increased fare to the consumers’ bill from current month. This hike will not be applicable to consumers of K-Electric.

The power distribution companies would collect the amount from consumers in the bills for February 2021.

Nepra justifies the augmentation saying that the distribution companies charged less than the actual cost of power generated from different fuels in Dec, 2020.
