Nestlé to introduce medicinal food

MEHWISH

SWITZERLAND:  Wall Street Journal reports that medicinal food will soon be developed by the scientists of Swiss Food Company ‘Nestlé’ to treat a number of diseases.

The medicinal food will include prescription-based powders and drinks containing natural combinations extracted from tomatoes, coffee and grapes.

The research is in process at Nestlé’s research institute where machines are used to analyze the human DNA to develop personalized programs for conditions like epilepsy and intestinal disorders.

Studies will be conducted on the safety, benefits, and effectiveness of its medical foods before launching them in the market, said Nestle.
