KARACHI: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that nobody would be allowed to attack the sanctity and solidarity of the nation.
Addressing the media after meeting Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad during a visit to the city, the minister said that peace in Karachi was correlated with peace in the country.
“Peace in Karachi should be maintained at all costs, and those who disrupt the peace of the city should be dealt with strictly,” Nisar said, adding that protestors who had created chaos and anarchy, and were involved in ransacking and damage to property will be dealt with under the law.
During the meeting, the interior minister and the Sindh governor discussed a range of issues including the law and order situation in the country, and reiterated their resolve to deal with an iron hand anyone who dared to attack the sanctity of the country.
Governor Ishratul Ebad Khan said that Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies were playing a pivotal role to maintain peace in the province and had given various sacrifices which cannot be underestimated.
