No one to be allowed to play politics on civil-military ties relations: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that nowhere else in world politics is done on civil-military relations but in Pakistan.

“Civil-military relations is a sensitive subject in the world,” he said while addressing the media here on Thursday.

“The context of civil-military relations is not political but national”, the minister said adding that our enemies wish a civil-military crisis in the country.

The minister said a committee probed the Dawn Leaks matter and the government did not intervene in its work.

He said the army wanted the implementation of the recommendations of the committee in letter and spirit, which has been done.

Nisar further went on to say that some retired army officials give an impression like they are military spokesman. However, he did not elaborate.
