‘Nothing bad’ happened to PPP during PTI’s tenure: Durrani

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Iftikhar Durrani has said no case had been registered against Pakistan People’s Party leaders during the tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“Cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari were lodged in 2015 by the last Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government,” said Durrani while talking to media here.

He said PPP leaders including Dr. Asim and Sharjeel Memon were arrested during the previous PML-N government.

He said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had failed to provide money trail regarding his cases in the court, adding that Nawaz Sharif told a lie regarding his money trail.

To a query, he said the Supreme Court had declared Prime Minister Imran Khan an ‘honest and righteous’ person.
