Omar Cheema takes oath as Gov Punjab

LAHORE: President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has stated: “While acting upon the advice of the Prime Minister, President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved the removal of Mr. Mohammad Sarwar from the position of Governor of Punjab and appointed Mr. Omar Sarfraz Cheema as Governor Punjab under the Article 101 of the Constitution of Pakistan.”

Federal  Minister Fawad Ch, while commenting on the prevailing political scenario Punjab took to the Twitter to hold: “Omar Cheema is one of the key workers of PTI. Today he has been appointed as the Governor of Punjab which I am personally very happy about. Congratulations!”
