Two die in firing at Karachi’s Civic Center

KARACHI: At least two persons were reportedly killed and one other was injured in a firing inside Civic Center here today.

According to police, Assistant Director Land Department, Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Waseem Usmani, Deputy Director Waseem Raza and Hafeez-ul-Hassan were injured when unknown assailants entered their office and opened fire.

“Waseem Usmani and Waseem Raza succumbed to injuries ,” a rescue official confirmed.

Senior Superintendent of Police, District East said that the incident seems to be the result of personal enmity. However, he said, investigation was underway.
