LAHORE: Punjab Assembly session, that was scheduled to take place on Wednesday (6th of April, 2022) here in order to facilitate voting process to elect the new CM, has been postponed till Sat (16th of April, 2022).
According to details the Assembly Secretariat had issued a notification on Tuesday (5th of April, 2022) informing that the deputy speaker had moved the session.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab Assembly was all set to hold voting on Wednesday to elect new CM following the tendering of resignation by Usman Buzdar. The contenders are PML-Q’s PTI-backed Chaudhry Parvez Elahi (who happens to be the Speaker of the House as well) and PML-N’s Hamza Shehbaz.
