Pak-British Sajid Javid is the new Home Secretary of UK!

LONDON: Following the resignation of Amber Rudd, PM Theresa May has today appointed 48-year-old Sajid Javid (Pak-British son of a bus driver) as the new Home Secretary!

Amber Rudd has resigned as home secretary as she faced criticism over Windrush Scandal: wrongful moves to deport undocumented (though legal) elderly immigrants from the Caribbean. She admitted to have inadvertently misled MPs over targets for removing illegal immigrants.

In her resignation letter to PM,  Amber Rudd  wrote: “I should have been aware of this, and I take full responsibility for the fact that I was not”.

Amber Rudd conceded that she had inadvertently misled the Home Affairs Select Committee – the panel of MPs scrutinizing the work of her ministry.
