KARACHI: Consul General of Italy Fabrizio Bielli had a meeting with Imran Khan Tessori, President Pakistan Gems Jewelry Traders and Exporters Association (PGJTEA) to ponder over ways to augment Pak-Italian.
The duo discussed avenues of cooperation between Italy and Pakistan to enhance commercial engagement in the Gems and Jewelry sector. Pakistan is rich in natural resources and has great potential to benefit from Italian technology and expertise in the sector.
Avari Towers’ Khursheed Mahal was the venue where Consul of the Italian diplomatic mission in the Port City Fabrizio Bielli hosted a networking event on 3rd July to applaud the contribution of Media towards ameliorating the Pak-Italian relationship.During the event, Consul Fabrizio Bielli expressed appreciation for their continuous support to disseminate news about the activities of the Consulate, further strengthening the bond between two countries. Lamenting that the habit of reading hard-copy of newspaper was little by little vanishing, Consul Fabrizio Bielli told that in Italy too the kiosks selling newspapers were sadly closing one after other. Emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties, the Consul of Italy reiterated his commitment to enhancing bilateral economic, trade, and investment relations between Italy and Pakistan, with the aim of doubling the current trade volume to at least $3 billion in the coming years.
“Italy is a global leader in producing high-quality machinery for the textile industry, as well as advanced medical equipment, including incubators for new-borns. We are well-positioned to support Pakistan in addressing its growing healthcare infrastructure needs,” he stated. KARACHI: Scene was set at the creek-side Beach Luxury Hotel where Italian Consul and Mrs. Fabrizio Bielli welcomed the karachiites on the occasion of the Festa Della Republica. Addressing the ladies and gentlemen in the audience Consul Fabricio Bielli highlighted the important aspects of strong and friendly cooperation between Italy and Pakistan, particularly in the economic domain. He also told about the signing of MoU between Emirates Airlines and the diplomatic post in the Port City to augment the commercial activities. National Anthem of two countries were played. Winners of the Versace lucky draw were announced.
To make the event special Consulate of Italy invited Chef Vincenzo De Liso from Naples who displayed his culinary innovation and creativity on the occasion. Talking exclusively to Newspakistan.tv Chef Vincenzo De Liso told that this was his second visit to Pakistan on the invitation of the Italian Consulate General Karachi. “I find the (Pakistani) people very nice who always welcome me as usual. It was a big challenge but finally everything was good and we could make very nice food and organised everything in time. This year we had something different because the Consul suggested to make some particular plate. Then we have a station outside to make proper pizza. I hope everybody will enjoy.”
